My First Year In Business..
First let me introduce myself. My name is Shameria! Owner , CEO of SNM Shoes formally known as SNM Shoetique. I am a mother and full time student.
I created SNM Shoes for the everyday women like myself that likes to look good but don’t want to go broke doing it. SNM is my initials but it also stands for Show No Mercy! I want women to Be Bold, Be Confident and Be Fierce and Show No Mercy in EVERYTHING you do in life especially while wearing our shoes. Every shoe is hand picked by me to reflect your individuality and personality.
So, with that being said let’s talk a little about our first year in business. Although, we are a few months past our initial date lol. Our anniversary was Mother’s Day weekend. 2019 we launched with a Mother’s Day weekend sale! Our first three months was exciting to say the least. I basically drove around in my car selling sandals to people lol. It was pretty dope to receive all the support from family, friends and people that I didn’t even know. Summer was coming to an end and I knew it was time to step things up a notch. I finally launched the website mid July! Still offering pick up/ drop off services. Once fall hit business slowed down a lot possibly because of the lack of diverse inventory and the price increase on the fall items. I went from selling sandals 2 for $20 to sneakers being $65. Customers were like oh yea I’ll wait until they go on sale lol. Yes, they were actually saying that to me. They viewed my business as a side hustle and at the time i was treating it as one as well. I wanted my business to elevate I just didn’t know how or what to do. Spring of 2020 came around and I did not come to play. I had been reading books , taking courses, following business mindset pages and doing anything possible to find ways to help my business grow. I did a slight rebranding got a new logo and changed the name to make it more simple and elegant. When I finally launched my spring/ summer collection of sandals. I had went strictly online and operated my business like the big name and corporate brands. I was very happy with the turn out of that collection. Now we’re here in Dec of 2020 and just wrapping up BFCM. I will say I did 5x better then I did last year lol. I know there’s so much more work to do in my business and I’m willing to put in the work and make all the sacrifices necessary to make this a successful company. This year I’ve had a lot of ups and downs both business and personal but, I’m learning to take the good with the bad and be grateful for every lesson & blessing. In closing I want to thank each and every person that ever made a purchase, told a friend, liked, commented, or shared a post on social media. If you support my business in any kind of way sincerely THANK YOU 💕 -SNM
